Privacy Policy

Squezr processes your files entirely inside your browser. Nothing you process is ever sent to a server. Free tools need no account and collect no personal data. Pro accounts store your email and subscription status, nothing else. We set no tracking cookies; signed-in users get a single secure session cookie.

Here is what each category looks like in practice:

• Files you process: handled entirely in your browser via the Web APIs (Canvas, Web Workers, File API). They never leave your device.
• Free users: no account required. We collect nothing from you.
• Pro users: we store your email address and subscription status (tier, billing period, renewal date) to manage your plan. Payment is handled by Lemon Squeezy; we never see or store your card details.
• Session data: signed-in users have a device session record that includes a hashed device fingerprint (used only to enforce the 3-device login limit). Raw device data is never stored.
• Security events: to prevent abuse we log HMAC-hashed IP addresses and user-agent strings when you request a sign-in link. These hashes cannot be reversed to identify you.
• Analytics: we use Vercel Analytics to collect anonymous, aggregated page-view data (page URL, referrer, country-level geography, and device type). No cookies are set by Vercel Analytics and no individual users are tracked across sessions.
• Cookies (first-party): we set one cookie, a secure, httpOnly session cookie for signed-in users. It contains no personal data, only an opaque session token used to keep you logged in. Signed-out visitors receive no cookies from us.
• Server logs: our hosting provider (Vercel) may retain standard HTTP access logs (IP address, request path, timestamp) for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention. These logs are not linked to any individual identity.

All compression, hashing, and metadata operations run as JavaScript in your browser tab. Your files are loaded into memory, processed, and made available for download, all without a network request. Once you close the tab, any processed data is discarded.

The Squezr website is hosted on Vercel. Vercel may collect access logs as described above. Google Fonts (Inter, Space Grotesk, JetBrains Mono) are loaded at build time; no fonts are fetched from Google at runtime. We use Vercel Analytics for anonymous page-view metrics (see above).

Pro billing is processed by Lemon Squeezy, who acts as Merchant of Record and handles payment data under their own privacy policy. We receive only your email address and subscription status from them via webhook.

We do not embed social-media widgets or any scripts that track you across sites beyond what is described in this policy.

Squezr is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

Free users: we hold no data about you, so there is nothing to access or delete.

Pro users: you can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Account page. This removes your email address, session records, and subscription metadata from our database. For billing records held by Lemon Squeezy, refer to their privacy policy.

We may update this policy as the product evolves. The effective date at the top of this page will always reflect the latest revision. For significant changes we will post a notice on the site.
