Privacy Policy

Squezr processes your files entirely inside your browser. Nothing you upload is ever sent to a server. We do not collect, store, or share any personal data or file content. There are no user accounts and no tracking cookies.

We collect nothing. Specifically:

• Files you process — handled entirely in your browser via the Web APIs (Canvas, Web Workers, File API). They never leave your device.
• Personal information — we have no account system, so we collect no names, email addresses, or payment details at this time.
• Analytics — we do not run Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or any third-party analytics script.
• Cookies — we set no cookies. Your dark/light theme preference is stored in localStorage on your own device and never transmitted to us.
• Server logs — our hosting provider (Vercel) may retain standard HTTP access logs (IP address, request path, timestamp) for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention. These logs are not linked to any individual identity.

All compression and metadata operations run as JavaScript in your browser tab. Your files are loaded into memory, processed, and made available for download — all without a network request. Once you close the tab, any processed data is discarded.

The Squezr website is hosted on Vercel. Vercel may collect access logs as described above. We use Google Fonts (Saira, JetBrains Mono) loaded at build time — no fonts are fetched from Google at runtime.

We do not embed social-media widgets, ad networks, or any other third-party scripts that track you across sites.

We plan to introduce optional user accounts and paid subscriptions in the future. Before doing so, this policy will be updated to describe exactly what data is collected, how it is stored, and your rights under applicable law (GDPR, CCPA, etc.). You will be notified of material changes before they take effect.

Squezr is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

Because we collect no personal data today, there is nothing to access, correct, or delete. If this changes after we introduce accounts, we will provide self-service data export and account deletion.

We may update this policy as the product evolves. The effective date at the top of this page will always reflect the latest revision. For significant changes we will post a notice on the site.
